Golf IQ: Corporate Golf Intelligence Certification™

Golf IQ is a self-paced course from Josh Jackson Golf for professionals who host, sell or build relationships on the golf course. It teaches golf language, etiquette and club culture, and a business system for hosting clients, from the invite to the follow-up. Time: self-paced, about 1.5 hours in total. That's about 15 minutes of reading, about 35 minutes for the three level quizzes and the final exam, and about 45 minutes of written exercises, including the capstone client golf day plan. Assessment: three 8-question level quizzes (70% to pass) and a 30-question final exam (80% to pass, up to 3 attempts). Your certificate is issued when every step is complete. What you'll be able to do Level 0: Orientation • Describe how Golf IQ is structured: four levels, three quizzes, a final exam and a capstone plan. • Rate yourself 1–5 on the seven Golf IQ readiness areas and save that baseline. • Use the 20-minute practice routine between levels. Level 1: Golf Language & Scoring • Name any score relative to par: eagle, birdie, par, bogey, double bogey. • Find par, tee rows and yardage, stroke index and the scoring grid on a scorecard in under 20 seconds. • Explain how a scramble works, and confirm format, tees and mulligan rules with the host before the first shot. • Recover from a poor shot with a short reset line instead of a swing explanation. Level 2: Etiquette & Club Culture • Keep pace with ready golf and a short ball search under the event rules. • Repair ball marks, replace divots and rake bunkers correctly. • Dress to the club's standard, or check the dress code with the host or club in advance. • Tell host duties from guest duties, and give a calm first response to common awkward moments. Level 3: Business Golf Intelligence • Tell scramble, best ball and stroke play apart, and represent your handicap fairly. • Run a four-phase conversation plan, from the first tee to the 19th hole. • Run the hosting loop: a clear invite, a 48-hour reconfirmation, day-of hosting, and a follow-up within 24–48 hours. • Log CRM notes the same day and write a one-page client golf day plan (the capstone).
